DefendRush is a 2D pixel‑art serious game about everyday cybersecurity. You use a fake Windows‑style desktop to react to emails, pop‑ups and system alerts, trying to keep your PC safe during a short session.

What you will do

• Spot phishing and spoofed emails before you click.
• Use the browser, antivirus and backups to block malware and ransomware.
• Watch CPU and security meters to detect suspicious activity.
• Learn simple habits that you can apply on a real computer.

The game is designed for students and everyday users who want to learn security basics while playing a fast, arcade‑style experience.

Antivirus

• Scan your system to detect hidden threats
• Delete infected files directly from the file manager
• Use the Anti-Ransomware tool to prevent ransomware from locking your files
• Remove already-installed malware from your system

Email Manager

• Receive emails and decide: accept or deny
• Accepting legitimate emails gives you points
• Falling for phishing or fraudulent messages costs you points — stay sharp!

System Logs

• Access the log viewer from the red button on the taskbar
• Monitor system activity and detect suspicious behavior before it's too late

Settings & Admin Panel

• Monitor your RAM and CPU usage in real time
• Enable administrator permissions — required for high-level antivirus tasks and fighting ransomware

Extra Apps (Steam, Bank, Browser)

• Use bonus applications hidden on the desktop to earn extra score
• But be careful — they can also be targets for attackers

Threats You'll Face

• Malware — Silently increases your CPU and RAM load. Ignore it long enough and your system slows to a halt.
• Trojan — A ticking clock. If you don't eliminate it in time, it's game over.
• Ransomware — Locks you out of the file manager entirely. You'll need admin privileges active to fight back.
